Crumbling, Valuable

Lets have a think about music genres and where they began.

Fact of the matter is and lots of people would argue against me but The Ramones are not good.
They are a prime example of what i call the first car effect.
You see The Ramones are not there to be listened to/enjoyed, They are there so we stand back and go this was the early emergance of punk .e.g the first car effect

You would never drive the first invention of the car yet, you would appreciate it. It doesn't really run very well and its a tad stupid yet you would go to a museum and go thats amazing the first of its kind its paved the way for so much.

So don't listen to the Ramones get that shit behind bars. Chuck it in a glass case and never ride that stuff again just look and say thats where it all started.

oh and for Acdc... burn that shit, anyone could have created that. It really gave Aus a good musical image.
If you cant be portrayed as something good dont be portrayed at all...

Cheers

  1. what about Bob Dylan mate. Or Jimmi Hendrix they pioneered schools of music but are still good in there own right. Music shouldn't be valued through what genre its part of, or its place in musical history but whether you enjoy it or not.

  2. Yeah But Jimi Hendrix and Bob dylan were not pioneering genres they were merely playing in there select genres of folk and blues/rock. They did change there genre but they didnt invent things so much.
